The experience
Bonifacio is recognisable among all. The citadel seems set on the prow of a stone vessel, the cliffs drop 70 metres into emerald water, and the sea caves form natural cathedrals that can only be approached by boat.
The place
In the south of Corsica, the Strait of Bonifacio separates the island from Sardinia. The white limestone cliffs host a protected wildlife, and the Genoese citadel has watched over them since the 12th century. One of the most photographed landscapes of the Mediterranean.
How the day unfolds
- Departure from the port of Bonifacio, Porto-Vecchio or a previous stop.
- Cruise along the southern cliffs, as close as possible to grasp the scale of the site.
- Passage under the sea caves and the natural arch of Saint-Antoine (conditions permitting).
- Anchorage in the calanque of Paragan or facing the Îlot de la Botte.
- Swimming in very clear water, snorkeling, then lunch on board.
- Return at the end of the afternoon to the port, or stop towards the Lavezzi Islands.
