The experience
In the north of Corsica, Cap Corse draws a narrow peninsula, almost an island within the island. Over 40 nautical miles, hilltop villages, 16th-century Genoese towers, balcony vineyards and fishing inlets compose a landscape of rare density.
The place
On the east side, the villages cling to the mountain and look towards Italy. On the west side, the cliffs drop into an often-rough sea. The cape is one of the most contrasted cruising itineraries of the Mediterranean, with a light that changes at every mile.
How the cruise unfolds
- Departure from Bastia or Saint-Florent.
- Cruise along the eastern coast: ports of Erbalunga, Macinaggio, Centuri.
- Rounding of the cape, facing the Finocchiarola islands and the Giraglia.
- Descent on the western side, towards Nonza, Saint-Florent or the Agriate desert.
- Anchorages in small authentic ports or in secluded inlets.
- Return to Bastia after 2 to 3 days of coasting.
